In December 2015, Peter was driving down Blaxland Road, Denistone, with his girlfriend in the passenger seat and his pet dog in the backseat. As he approached an intersection, a Toyota Celica turned suddenly in front of him, running a red light and colliding with the driver’s side of his vehicle. The other driver fled the scene, leaving Peter injured and in shock.
The accident caused severe injuries, including neck and back injuries as well as thoracic spine damage and psychological trauma. Despite medical treatment, Peter’s pain persisted and his daily quality of life deteriorated.
